CeMM strongly condemns the invasion of Ukraine and wholeheartedly wishes to express solidarity with the Ukrainian people in these difficult times. Together with the Austrian Academy of Sciences and our partners in the EU-LIFE alliance, we would like to support the scientific community in Ukraine.

CeMM supports the following initiatives for scientists from Ukraine:

• EMBO's Solidarity with Ukraine: A list of life scientists across Europe and beyond offering to host Ukrainian researchers in their labs.
• Science for Ukraine: Platforms offering to host Ukrainian researchers in labs across Europe and beyond. CeMM offers up to five fully funded guest scientist positions (wet-lab and/or computational) for initially 1 year to life scientists and students from Ukraine. • ÖAW’s JESH-Ukraine Emergency Call: Special call, as part of the academic mobility programme “Joint Excellence in Science and Humanities”, to support Ukrainian scientists who had/have to leave their country in temporarily carrying out a scientific project at an Austrian research institution.
